Happy Thanksgiving !

With all my traveling, cooking, maybe a small walk, I want to voice "Happy Thanksgiving Day" !

WEEK # 20

Total of   315.97 miles I have walked and 214.58 miles left to go!

What has happen to this week? I was just here yesterday, but it is now November 13th   where did the time fly too? I did visit family; spend a few days in bed :} but for a whole week to disappear? I have to look in my diary!
Monday:  head ache, Tuesday: ate all day while watching TV, Wednesday: swimming, Walked to grandma, Thursday: Salem, Boston, death in family, Friday: Applebee, Home, house full of family, Salem, Saturday: bed most of day awake at 10pm.

My Walmart

I left my home as the sun hit our earth.
I wanted to walk a mile,
The snow is melting, but the cold air remains,
So I left for Wal-mart, were it is warm and safe.
My pay was spent within an hour,
 as I walked that busy mile.

Gone but not forgotten!

My foot hurts!

Saturday, I stepped on a small nail. It went passed my shoe into my foot!
Sunday, I try to open the bathroom door wearing new slipper taking skin off my big toe.
Monday, my foot hurts; I have a red line trying to run up my toe.
(Time to see Mom.)

Monday night, I feel ok, Neosporin with pain relief helped.




Tuesday morning, I want my mommy! Yes, I am a big baby! More Neosporin but first was a painful Epsom salt soak.

Wednesday, I am taking the day off just to stay in bed.  I have a good Family, I am lucky. Food is delivery to me in bed, drinks arrive without a sound, and I am beginning to enjoy this kind of carefree life. Only thing is the twenty minutes Epsom salt soaks.

Thursday, I am back to being alone! My Foot looks ok, this vacation has to end, work tomorrow.

I went to visit my son today. He shows me how to add pictures! I spend a few minutes editing my post to update them.

But this is about the miles I walk, not what I can learn.

I went walking in a mall. Christmas is here! Halloween is on sale 25% off. I could not find Thanksgiving anywhere!  This is our family’s holiday. All of the table busy with cooking, cleaning, talking about last year, things that mean nothing but you get to relive the past. The piles of dishes waiting to be washed only used today, all the tables full of pies. The white home made tablecloth grandma spend hours working on. I never understand how moving your finger around could make thread turn into flowers! But my mom was there we us watching a black & white TV working on the thanksgivings table cloth for over a year!

One summer she started crocheting all her children an afghan. The following Christmas was summer blankets. (She spends one and a half years working her fingers to the bone.) I still have the afghan. Maybe some day I can pass it down to my grandchildren!

All of this and I never told you, that I walked two miles! :}
